How about a single bay 4x20 serial LCD?

Of course the text would have to be smaller, but it would give people more options for their LCD needs.

I'm sure this has been suggested before.

That is a standard 20x4 (probably similar to the CFAH2004A * series) modded in behind two 3.5" floppy bays. I have seen a similar mod with our 634 placed behind a double-high floppy opening.

Both of them (to my knowlege) are standard LCDs with just the case being modified to fit the LCD.

I suppose I didn't notice that, but why not a smaller 4x20 that fits in a single height 5 1/4" bay? Are people not interested in something like that?

I think a project like that is a possibility. There is tooling involved and an unknown market, so you may not see it for a while.

Nothing that makes it technically impossible.
