SPI interface

If I wanted to use the SPI interface on a motherboard, where would I connect it to the MB? Does this work the same as the RS-232 interface? If I have to use the serial interface, what is the best method of connecting the 632. I want to avoid running a cable out the back to plug it into the com port.
