Wow.

How about the sides? Somehow some beautifully finished red wood (cherry?) side panels seem appropriate.

That's the way I'm going, but.....it is a totally fanless system so I must pay homage to the thermal gods.

You can "decorate" (mod) it anyway you want. Here's one I made from scrap spanish cedar.

So, do I blacken out the Crystalfontz logo or do we work on backlighting it?:)

I guess you could carefully dremel the metal out behind the CF logo, then backlight it with some powerful red LEDs. They would have to be bright enough to shine through the black, unless you could carefully remove the black from behind the logo--but that would likely scratch the red too.

I was thinking more like a tiny scrolling logo. You, know. An LCD for your LCD.:)
