Part Change Notice #10853: CFA635 series Firmware revision 2.1.
    Products Affected: CFA635-YYE-KS, CFA635-TMF-KS, CFA635-TFE-KS, CFA635-TMF-KL, CFA635-TFE-KU, CFA635-YYE-KL, XES635BK-TFE-KU, XES635BK-TMF-KU, XES635BK-YYE-KU, CFA635-TMF-KU, CFA635-YYE-KU
    Date Issued: May 3, 2017
Summary: CFA635 series Firmware revision 2.1.
    Last revision: 2.0
Description: The CFA635 series of advanced display modules will be changing from the previous firmware revision of 2.0 to the new firmware revision 2.1.
Reason: As part of our continuous improvement, the firmware has been updated for use with the hardware v1.5.
Impact: The new firmware is designed with a priority of backward compatibility. The following commands will differ from earlier versions:

Command 1 (0x01) - Get Hardware and Firmware Version
This command will report the following strings:
    Serial Versions (KS) - CFA635: h1.5,f2.1
    USB Versions (KU) - CFA635: h1.5 f2v1

Commands 18,19 and 20, which control the temperature sensors on the FBSCAB, have been limited to support the FBSCAB's maximum of 16 temperature sensors.
Recommendation: Design changes have been made to maximize backward compatibility. For most applications, the CFA635 hardware revision 1.5 will be a form and fit replacement.

If your application uses ATX power supply control, fan control, or temperature measurement through the SCAB, you will need change to the equivalent FBSCAB components.

We recommend testing the new version CFA635 in your system to verify compatibility.
Availability: CFA635 firmware version 2.1 will begin shipping installed in hardware version 1.5 in the second quarter of 2017 after the inventory of hardware version 1.2 is depleted.
