This side view shows the thickness of the 0.030" GE HP-92 Lexan (polycarbonate) face plate.

Here is a detail of the RS-232 connector position and display mounting. The offset position of the connector and thin profile of the display should allow the cable to be routed past 3 1/2 inch drives mounted behind the display.
