633 WinTest

Features:

Demonstrates features of CrystalfontzCFA- 633 Module.
Allows experimenting with the LCD's command set.
Example data may be "copied" from the Acrobat PDF manual and "pasted" into 633_WinTest Packet Debugger.
Sends any "binary" code from 0 to 255.
"Packet Debugger" shows a record of the commands sent and received.
Demonstrates software techniques:

Sending and receiving packets
Reading fan RPM or setting fan power
Displaying keystrokes.
Setting LCD contents

Supports ports: COM1-COM9.
Supports speed of: 19200 baud.
32-bit Windows (95/98/ME/NT/2K) program.
WinTest.exe runs directly: no install and you can just delete it when you are done.

The main 633_WinTest screen gives you easy control over the LCD contents, contrast setting, backlight settings and the COM port and baud rate selection.

The separate "modeless" debugger window allows you to see all packet traffic between the host and the 633, and also allows you to experiment with any command. You can scroll back to see the packet history, selectively mask packet traffic and select decimal or hexadecimal display.

Every command available in the CFA-633 firmware can be selected from the drop-down menu.

There is a fan dialog box to monitor and control the fans.

The temperature sensors may be monitored by a separate temperature dialog box.

You can enable or disable key reporting, and query the keys by polling in the key dialog.

The very flexible GPIO pins may be configured through the GPIO dialog box.

633_WinTest will optionally log the temperature and fan reports from the 633 into a "CSV" file. The file can be opened in a spreadsheet and graphed, as this example graph created in Excel.
