An Electrophoretic Display<\/strong> (or ED for short) is also known as ePaper.<\/p>\n

The electrically charged molecules are black or red ink particles that move — and become visible to the viewer — when an electric field (voltage) is applied. When all of the black and red modules are moved away, the display appears white.<\/p>\n

ED modules are typically thin, very low power, and sunlight-readable<\/a>. Once an image is displayed, they require no power to operate until the display needs to update or change.<\/p>\n
