An LCD is composed of two pieces of glass with a thin layer of liquid crystals between the glass layers. When a voltage is applied to the glass, the orientation of the crystals can be changed. There are well over 100 connections in a typical COB application. Without wire bonding, the modules would have to be much larger.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"Mu SP\" title=\"2\/3\/16, 9:12 PM\" data-tooltip=\"2\/3\/16, 9:12 PM\">Why Not Make Them Clear in the First Place?<\/h3>\n<p>In normal production, a black encapsulant resin is used.
