This bar-type TFT has an ultra-wide aspect ratio of 3.75:1. The active area of the display is 5.2" on the diagonal and 5" wide. It has an RGB interface, and a white LED backlight.
This display is great for displaying graphics that just don't fit on a more square screen. Such as long graphs that get squished on a narrow display, forced breaks in text that make it hard to follow. Alternately, this display could be used to show two or more distinct graphics simultaneously, maybe an image and some explanatory text or multiple related graphs. The widescreen provides the flexibility that is simply not available with one or even two side-by-side square displays.
