Customers who will replace the CFAF240320H-022T with the new part will need to revise their initialization code The CFAF240320H1-022T uses a different initialization code.
Availability: The CFAF240320H-022T will no longer be available once current stock is depleted.

Summary: Change in controller.
Description: The CFAH240320H-022T has had change in the LCD controller. The display is changing from the ILI9325C to the RM68090 LCD controller.
Reason: The change is due the the limited availability for glass in the 2.2" size.
Impact: Minimal. Please see attachment for the comparisons between the two controllers. There is a slight shift in the gamma.
Recommendation: Review of your initialization code.

Product Notes

This module is engineered for high volume production. It uses a "TAB" (tape automated bonding) or "COF" (chip on flex) style flex tail mated with a "COG" (chip on glass) display. The TAB connector is soldered directly to corresponding pads on your PCB using a hot-bar soldering machine. High volume contract manufacturers will be familiar with this type of construction and its assembly methods. Hot-bar soldering machines designed for prototype, rework or repair of TAB connections are available from equipment suppliers at reasonable cost. The TAB style connection requires no separate connector, so the cost is very low, and the ultra thin profile of the display is maintained.
