Functional change the BL (Pin 29)
Description:
On the 2BM-10005, the pin that enabled and disabled the backlight (Pin 29) was left floating with the expectation that the host system would drive that line.
On the CFA-10075, that pin is tied to GND using a 1M Ohm resistor.
Reason:
Customer feedback has shown that this pin is not always being driven in every situation and the cut over between the 2BM-10005 and the CFA-10075 has caused compatibility issues.
Impact:
Customers not specifically enabling this pin, by driving it high, will find that the backlight does not illuminate.
Recommendation:
It is important to ensure that when using this carrier board, the BL pin should be driven by the host system. Preferably using a GPO in order to actively toggle the backlight.
2BM-10005 carrier board being replaced by CFA10075 carrier board
Reason:
As part of our continuous improvement, the design and manufacture of carrier board has been brought under in-house control.

Recommendation:
The CFA-10075 has been designed and tested to be Fit, Form, and Functional compatible with the 2BM-10005. Testing in systems is encouraged, as with any product update.
