This 7.5" ePaper display module holds a crisp 800x480 black-and-white image indefinitely with zero power draw, making it the ideal choice for battery-powered signage, labels, and any product that updates occasionally but needs to stay readable around the clock. At just 1.25mm thick and 44 grams, it slips into slim enclosures where a backlit LCD never could.

This is a true active matrix electrophoretic display (AMEPD) with a pure reflective, paper-like surface that looks great in any lighting, including direct sunlight. There is no backlight to wash out and no glare to fight, thanks to the antiglare hard-coated front surface. With 35% reflectance, an 8:1 contrast ratio, and an ultra-wide viewing angle, your content reads clearly from nearly any position, in both landscape and portrait orientations.

The onboard UC8179 controller does the heavy lifting so your microcontroller doesn't have to. It integrates the gate buffer, source buffer, timing logic, oscillator, on-chip display RAM, and an on-chip booster and regulator that generates VCOM plus the gate and source driving voltages internally. That means built-in voltage generation and only a handful of external components to get running. A standard SPI interface (3-wire or 4-wire selectable) keeps wiring simple, and a built-in I²C master interface lets the panel read an external temperature sensor to optimize its waveforms automatically.

Power behavior is where ePaper shines. The module draws current only during a screen update, then drops into an ultra-low-current deep sleep mode that sips just microamps while your image remains on screen. A full refresh completes in 3 seconds, a fast update in 1.5 seconds, and a partial refresh in just 0.3 seconds when you only need to change part of the screen.

Need more than pure black and white? The onboard UC8179 controller supports a 4-level grayscale mode, giving you black, white, and two intermediate grays for smoother logos, photos, and shaded UI elements.

New to ePaper wiring? The CFA10126 ePaper breakout board gives you a ready-made way to connect the 24-pin, 0.5mm-pitch FPC and start driving the panel right away.
