Once updated these displays literally need zero power to maintain an image. It's like a digital etch-a-sketch. Coupled with an adapter board and an Arduino / Seeeduino and you can quickly demonstrate the functionality of this high contrast, ultra-low-powered display.

This 2.13" active area contains 212x104 pixels and has 1-bit white/black and 1-bit red full display capabilities. An integrated circuit contains a gate buffer, source buffer, interface, timing control logic, oscillator, DC-DC, SRAM, LUT, VCOM, and border.
