These guys are actually really solid. I've been buying displays from them for various projects since 2006 (!!) and I have never been disappointed. My last order arrived ahead of schedule, despite everything that's going on.
PS. Really digging the contrast and clarity on the white backlight option! The photo doesn't do it justice (and I haven't peeled the film off the glass yet).

Support replied quickly and solved one of my problems on the first reply and the other on the second after consulting with a more knowledgeable party. I couldn't ask for more. As for the products, CrystalFontz LCDs are the classic example of quality premium offerings. Definitely not competing on price, but they're built to last and well-supported, both by CrystalFontz and third-party tools.

Kelsey's support has been excellent. After identifying issues with instructions for downloading bmp files to the display, she figured out the correct way to do it and documented it in a clear and concise document.

I requested a step model of the CFAL1602C. Two days later, I had it and dropped in the PCB library. Worked great and found I had misinterpreted the drawing. Saved me a board spin.

Pre-sales support has been great. Responses have been within 24 hours or less. Responses were reasonable and included documentation and or links to documentation as well as examples. Good enough I made a purchase for a prototype. Will review my experience with actual product and post sales support in the future.

I have successfully used a CFA634 twice now 8 years apart. Multiple people were able to help me with several technical problems and resolve them. They don't mind helping a low volume customer with both sales and support. Their product is robust and rather impervious to my wiring errors as well. The same product I first purchased from them in 2014 is still available and supported.
