Logic Level Serial Character Serial LCD Displays

LCD displays that use a logic-level serial interface are versatile electronic components designed for easy integration and control in various projects. Unlike I2C or SPI interfaces, logic-level serial interfaces use a simplified serial communication protocol, often referred to as "bit-banging." This means that the microcontroller or host device directly controls the individual data and control lines of the LCD display, eliminating the need for dedicated communication protocols or libraries.

Logic-level serial LCD displays typically have a small number of data and control pins, making them suitable for projects with limited I/O resources. These displays usually have a fixed character size, such as 16x2 or 20x4, and offer excellent readability with or without backlighting.
