This beautiful, bright, full-color display supports up to five distinct touches at a time! This touchscreen technology is referred to as a "One Glass Solution" since the touchscreen functionality is built into the glass rather than adding an additional touchscreen over the top, like traditional touchscreens. This means there is one less layer light needs to get through before hitting your eye; providing for a crisper looking display with less diffusion.
It’s sunlight-readable with 730 nits and extremely affordable, making it a great choice for any project. At 2.4" diagonal, this display is fairly compact but still has the space and resolution for just about anything you’d want to display.
The capacitive touch glass overhangs the display for easy mounting. This will make it simple for you to have a polished final product with less work. The capacitive touchscreen communicates to the controller via I2C and has an interrupt pin to notify the host of a touch. Check out our demo code for a jumping-off point for using a touchscreen in your product or project.
The display is capable of communication via 8080 parallel (8/9/16/18 bit), RGB and SPI (3- or 4-wire).
This is a Capacitive Touch 2.4" IPS TFT designed for embedded systems. This wide viewing angle IPS display can be used in any orientation--landscape or portrait. The backlight is 730 nits (cd/m2) so it can be used in most lighting conditions.
This change is to move the resistor on the capacitive touch tail from R2 to R1 so that the typical voltage for the capacitive touch screen is 3.3V as specified in the datasheet instead of 1.8V.
Reason:
The capacitive touch screen had a resistor placement that made the typical logic voltage 1.8V instead of 3.3V as specified in the datasheet.
Availability:
The display will be shipping with the changes on 2021-05-28.
For reference only. For design purposes, please use the specifications in the datasheet.
