Transflective LCD Displays
Transflective LCD displays combine a partial mirror layer with a backlight, allowing them to work in two modes: reflecting ambient light in bright conditions (like sunlight) and using the backlight in dim or dark environments. This makes them a versatile choice for devices that must be readable indoors and outdoors.
If your application only needs readability in bright light and power consumption is a top priority, a reflective LCD may be a better fit. For applications that only operate indoors, a transmissive display will typically offer better contrast and color.
